Xpeng G6 Facelift Gets New RWD Standard Range Variant – Launching Jan 14

Xpeng Malaysia has introduced a new entry-level RWD Standard Range variant for the G6.
Xpeng Malaysia has silently updated its local product lineup by introducing a new entry level for the facelifted G6 EV SUV, known as the Xpeng G6 RWD Standard Range.
On the website, we can also see some detailed specifications for the G6 RWD SR. As its name suggests, the G6 RWD SR features a single, rear-mounted (RWD) electric motor rated at 248 hp (185 kW) and 440 Nm, making it less powerful than the RWD LR Pro variant, which gets a slightly higher power output of 292 hp.

What also differentiates the RWD SR variant from its long-ranged sibling is the battery, as the new entry-level model gets a smaller 68.5 kWh LFP battery pack as opposed to the 80.0 kWh LFP unit primed on the RWD LR Pro.
As of now, neither the 0-100 km/h nor the maximum range figures were shared by Xpeng Malaysia, but given that the G6 RWD SR gets a slightly less peppy motor setup and a smaller battery pack, we can expect those figures to be less than what the RWD LR Pro model puts out.

For reference, the facelifted G6 RWD LR Pro gets a relatively quick century sprint time of 6.7 seconds, while its maximum EV range is rated at 525 km, according to the more stringent WLTP standards.

Fortunately, it won’t be long before we get to know more about this new entry-level EV SUV, as Xpeng Malaysia confirms via its official social media page that the new G6 RWD SR will make its local debut later in Jan 14, 2026.
