- 2026 Xpeng P7+ Completes European Trial Production Ahead of Jan 9 Debut

The 2026 Xpeng P7+ has just completed its trial production in Austria ahead of its European debut on Jan 9th.
China’s Xpeng has just completed the trial production for its next global model, the 2026 Xpeng P7+, taking place at the company’s new European production facility in Graz, Austria. This sleek fastback sedan is slated to make its European debut later on Jan 9, possibly at the upcoming Brussels Motor Show 2026.

The brand’s European production effort is done in collaboration with Austria’s famed contract assembler Magna Styer via its subsidiary Magna International, which is one of Xpeng’s three current overseas production efforts aside from Indonesia and Malaysia—the latter was recently announced back in Dec 2025.
Prior to the new 2026 P7+, Magna International was also responsible for assembling other Xpeng models like both the G6 and G9 EV SUVs, which started back in Sept 2025 for the European market consumption.

As detailed in our prior report, the updated 2026 P7+ will come in both battery electric (BEV) and range-extender (EREV) powertrain options, with the latter capable of delivering a combined range of up to 1,550 km with an impressive pure electric range of 725 km.

In terms of design, the updated model remains largely unchanged, retaining the same sleek fastback bodystyle seen on the outgoing model. Some key exterior highlights include the X Face front design with split LED headlights, full-width LED taillights with L-shaped ends, a slew of alloy wheel options measuring 19 to 20 inches, flushed door handles, a sleek fastback-style roofline, and many more.

Dimension-wise, the 2026 P7+ spans 5,071 mm long, 1,937 mm wide, and 1,512 mm tall with a wheelbase of 3,000 mm, thus putting it on par with other mid-to-large European EV sedans like the BMW i5, Audi A6 e-tron, Lotus Emeya, and Porsche Taycan.

Thanks to its large facade, the updated P7+ boasts a pretty spacious cabin layout laced with tons of premium and comfort amenities. This includes the expansive 29-inch head-up display, a large 15.6-inch central infotainment screen, a separate 8-inch entertainment screen for the rear passengers, ventilated and heated front seats with massage functions and zero-gravity mode for the passenger’s side, reclinable rear seats with both ventilation and massage functions, and a sizable boot space spanning 573 litres that can be expanded to 1,904 litres with the rear seats folded.

Beyond both the European and Chinese markets, we previously reported that Xpeng is also interested in offering the new 2026 P7+ across its 36 global markets, and there’s a chance that Malaysia could be on the list as well.
