Mitsubishi Outlander

The third-generation Mitsubishi Outlander comes in two variants; the Mitsubishi Outlander 2.4 4WD model and the Mitsubishi Outlander 2.0 4WD model. Prices are RM155,000 and RM139,988 respectively. The Outlander highlights its stylish and sleek design as well as flexibility and comfort. 

The dashboard gives off a simple and minimalistic feel to it and is extremely user friendly.

An instrument cluster is an analogue unit with a small high contrast multi-information display in the middle of the RPM and Speedometer.

The vehicle comes with 5+2 seats for maximum flexibility. The seats are finished with high-quality black leather that fits nicely with it’s all-black interior. Not only that, the rear seats can also be arranged according to the passengers' needs, along with split-folding 3rd-row rearseats. The driver is provided with an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat.

The Outlander emphasizes space and comfort, therefore all passengers in the 1st and 2nd rows will have no shortage of leg and headspace, even after fully extending their seat. Like every 5+2 vehicles, the 3rd row will be perfect for kids, as an average adult will find it cramped.

The car has a decent-sized glove compartment that is able to fit the car manual and service booklet but unfortunately may not be able to fit any other bigger essential items. However, there are multiple other storage space options in the vehicle such as the cavern beneath the front central armrest where passengers are able to fit their sunglasses, tissues or makeup pouches. 

There are 6 cup holders and 4 bottle holders in the vehicle; 2 in the front, 2 in the second-row armrest and 2 more by the third row’s side panel. The bottle holders are located at each door panel. 

The Outlander has three USB charging ports and three 12-volt power sockets; two in front, below the 12-volt power socket, and one more inside the centre armrest area, next to the 12-volt power socket. There is one more 12-volt power socket in the boot.

The available boot space for the Outlander is 291 litres. However, with the third-row seats lowered down, passengers are able to enjoy around 591 to 1022 litres of cargo space. On top of that, cargo space can also be increased to 1,608 litres with both the second and third row of seats folded. 

The measurements are 4,655 mm in length, 1,800 mm in width, 1,680 mm in height, with a wheelbase spanning 2,670 mm. 

The front view of the Outlander features the two plate chrome grille that has the company’s insignia embossed between them, defining sophistication.

The rear of the Outlander displays their sleek & dynamic design that focuses on their new and improved LED tail lamps.

The front headlamps are LED adaptive projection headlamps. 

The tail lamps are LED units that come along with a built-in turn indicator to complete the set.

The car comes with 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels.

The Outlander has the following active safety features; active stability and traction control, an anti-lock braking system with electronic brake distribution and brake assist, as well as hill-start assist.

The passive features include seven airbags, ISOFIX, as well as Mitsubishi’s Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution (RISE) body and a collapsible steering column. 

The drive modes include Standard and Eco modes. 

Features a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment display that is compatible with Apple Carplay and Android Auto support.

The Outlander 2.4 model is equipped with a 2.4-litre four-cylinder engine that produces 166 hp at 6,000 rpm and 162 Nm of torque at 4,200 rpm. 

Both variants are equipped with a 6-speed automatic transmission.

The car is able to accelerate from 0 to 60 kph in 8-10 seconds.

The average fuel consumption is approximately 7.5 l/100km.

The sound insulation in the car is great with most of the road and wind noises were dampened.
