Recently refreshed, the Serena S-Hybrid now comes in two main variants - Highway Star and Premium Highway Star. In its new 2022 guise, the exterior sees a minor face-lift featuring a prominent new grille design plus updated all-LED lighting, plus snazzier new alloy wheels design. On board, aesthetic changes in the cabin are minor, but it's the newly-added advanced driver assist that sets this refreshed latest iteration from its predecessors. Highlights of which include autonomous emergency braking, lane-departure warning, blind-spot monitor, as well as rear cross-traffic alert and driver attention warning. In short, the Serena S-hybrid has been made safer than ever in this latest 2022MY guise.

The dashboard looks bulky but full of features and accessories that MPV owners desire. It comes in normal black wrapped with leather upholstery with LED interior lamps.

The Nissan Serena S-Hybrid Premium Highway Star offers a 7-inch digital Advanced Drive-Assist Display (ADAD).

The Nissan Serena S-Hybrid Premium Highway Star has 2 colours that we can choose from combination leather black leather and combination leather truffle brown and chestnut leather.

It has a decent size glove compartment and passenger front compartment that is able to keep a few things like few CDs, tissues, wet tissues, hand sanitizers.

There are 10 cup holders which located two cup holders in the front, four cup holders at the middle row and four cup holders at the last row. 

There are seven USB charging ports which are each one for every passenger. 

The Nissan Serena S-Hybrid Premium Highway Star boot space is 210-litres with all seats up, and able to extend for more space with the seats folded.

In this refreshed 2022MY guise, the Serena S-Hybrid's exterior face-lift led by a prominent new grille design, matched with lightly redesigned bumper and headlight.

At the rear, the 2022MY Serena S-hybrid sees a resigned taillight cluster plus a lightly restyled rear bumper assembly as well.

The redesigned headlamps now sports bi-LED illumination plus a chrome accent.

Like the headlamp up front, the 2022MY Serena S-hybrid taillight cluster are all-new and feature all-LED illumination now.

The side-mirrors in the 2022MY Serena S-hybrid also sees a slight change. It now boasts all-LED signal repeaters integrated into its forward-facing cowl, as well as optical lens just below that enable its new 360-degree parking monitor too.

Also new are the design of the alloy wheels brimmed in the 2022MY Serena S-Hybrid. These measure 15-inches in the Highway Star variant whilst the up-specced Premium Highway Star variant rolls on larger 16-inch types.

The Nissan Serena S-Hybrid Premium Highway Star comes with an intelligent around-view monitor (I-AVM), intelligent moving object detection (I-MOD), intelligent driver alertness (I-DA), anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic brake-force distribution (EBD) with brake assist (BA), vehicle dynamic control (VDC), traction control system (TCS), hill start assist (HSA), tech-on tray mat and driving video recorder (DVR). 

There are 6 airbags for driver, passenger, front side, a front and rear curtain. There are side airbags and full-length curtain airbags too. There is an ISOFIX child seat restraint system for 2nd row seats. 

The infotainment system is Clarion 6.75-inch advanced display audio with 6 speakers. It also comes with Apple Carplay and Android Auto. It also has a Smart Device Link (SDL) too.

The sound is generated by the 6 speakers sound system. 

The Nissan Serena S-Hybrid Premium Highway Star is powered by the MR20DD 2.0-litre 16-valve DOHC with Twin CVTC (Continuously Variable-valve Timing Control), 4-Cylinder, 16-valve, Direct Fuel Injection that delivers 148 hp at 6,000 rpm and 200 Nm of torque at 4,400 rpm.

The transmission is an XTRONIC CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) with Adaptive Shift Control (ASC). 

The fuel consumption of the Nissan Serena S-Hybrid 2.0L Premium Highway Star is 14.2 l/100km. 

There are auto headlamps, steering tilt, bluetooth, steering telescopic, two parking sensors rear, keyless operation locks, reverse camera with Around View Monitor (AVM), power sliding rear doors with contactless operation, anti-pinch, remote control and driver control operation, foldable wing mirrors.

Sound insulation on Nissan Serena S-Hybrid Premium Highway Star is good with most of the wind noise, tyre noise and engine noise isolated.
