New Bronco 4600 Is Ford Performances’ Future For Built Wild Off-Road Racing
Ford Performance Motorsport unveiled the all-new Bronco 4600 race vehicle in early February of this year, at the King of the Hammers event in Johnson Valley, California, United States of America.
The new Bronco 4600 race vehicle builds on the winning tradition of the first generation Bronco that took the 1969 Baja 1000.

Ford SUV marketing manager Dave Rivers said, “Innovating the off-road landscape and competing with Bronco’s higher-speed off-road abilities have always been at the core of Bronco brand’s heritage, our new Bronco 4600 racers underscore our motorsports heritage indefinitely.”
The vehicle’s foundation is engineered from a 2021 Sasquatch Package Bronco two-door SUV with a stock powertrain that is sporting a competition-tuned High-Performance Off-Road Stability Suspension (HOSS) System.

Under the hood, the Bronco 4600 is powered by a race-tested 2.7-litre EcoBoost twin-turbo V6 engine that is paired with a SelectShift 10-speed automatic transmission and all is fitted in a second generation T-6 chassis.
Ford Performance Motorsports global director Mark Rushbrook said, “Bronco 4600 underscores how ready the all-new Bronco is for competition and how Ford Performance is committed to driving the brand’s success across multiple off-road series.”

Further performance aspects of the Bronco 4600 are its competition-tuned high-performance off-road stability suspension which features Fox coil-over shocks with remote reservoirs and Fox pneumatic bump stops at all four angles.
At the front, it gets the Triton Engineering control arms which comes with a heavy-duty Howe hydraulic steering rack with a cooler that is mounted to the 74 Weld heavy-duty front portal hubs. Also, a factory Dana AdvanTEK e-locking differential with RCV custom half-shafts is delivering the torque power for the front wheels.

At the back, installed are the Triton Engineering rear links which support the Dynatrac ProRock XD60 axle with an ARB 35-spline Air Locker and Spidertrax Spider 9 axle shafts and hubs. As for the front and rear modular steel bumpers and the Warn ZEON winch, they are crafted by Ford Performance themselves.

The inner body is fitted with a custom roll cage by Geiser Brothers and the first-ever FIA off-road-certified race shells from Recaro. Also installed are Wilwood Engineering brakes and 35-inch BFGoodrich mud-terrain T/A KM3 tires with Method Race Wheels 202 Forged Beadlock wheels. As for illuminations, RIGID LED off-road lights are equipped to improve night vision.
To complete the beasts’ look, the inspired war paint pays homage to Bronco brand’s race legacy especially to the winning Bronco from the 1969 Baja 1000. It features the Bronco 4600 race vehicle in the new factory 2021 Bronco colors which are Race Red, Oxford White and Velocity Blue.
Bronco designer Scott Guan said, “Our new ‘war paint’ scheme tells the Bronco race story, up front is chapter one that traces back to the victorious 1969 Bronco, then, as you travel along the side, the lines get more diagonal, more futuristic, signaling the future of the brand.”

The layout has a matte black hood, white upper and red lower body lines that extends towards the back and transitions into a more modern Bronco design scheme. A white Bronco logo is decaled on the hood while the grille is finished with a uniquely red “R” for the Bronco script.
