Qing Ming Festival Standard Operating Procedures Released - Inter-state Traveling Strictly Not Allowed
The National Unity Ministry (Kementerian Perpaduan Negara) has introduced the standard operating procedure (SOP) for the upcoming Qing Ming Festival or Tomb Sweeping Day.
People who wish to sweep the graves will have to comply with the relevant rules.

Every year from the end of March to the beginning of April is the Qing Ming Festival. As the government has announced until end of March, inter-state traveling is still not allowed but the public are allowed to tomb-sweeping.

According to the statement released by National Unity Ministry, the public can go to the cemetery or the columbarium for the tomb-sweeping activities and worship ceremonies within 14 days before and after the Qing Ming Festival (April 4), that is from March 20 until April 18.
The Ministry also intends to separate two SOP for the tomb-sweeping activities in both the cemeteries and columbarium :-

1) A family cannot exceed six people at the same time 2) Must be done between 5am and 6pm 3) All activities and ceremony must be done within 90 minutes 4) Inter-state traveling is not allowed *All this SOP is applicable to states or region under the Movement Control Order (MCO), Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) and Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO). | MCO state or region 1) A family cannot exceed 10 people at the same time 2) Must be done between 5am and 6pm 3) The activity and ceremony time is limited to 60 minutes, of which 30 minutes must be used for disinfection. 4) Inter-state traveling is not allowed.
