Qing Ming Festival Standard Operating Procedures Released - Inter-state Traveling Strictly Not Allowed
The National Unity Ministry (Kementerian Perpaduan Negara) has introduced the standard operating procedure (SOP) for the upcoming Qing Ming Festival or Tomb Sweeping Day.
People who wish to sweep the graves will have to comply with the relevant rules.

Every year from the end of March to the beginning of April is the Qing Ming Festival. As the government has announced until end of March, inter-state traveling is still not allowed but the public are allowed to tomb-sweeping.

According to the statement released by National Unity Ministry, the public can go to the cemetery or the columbarium for the tomb-sweeping activities and worship ceremonies within 14 days before and after the Qing Ming Festival (April 4), that is from March 20 until April 18.
The Ministry also intends to separate two SOP for the tomb-sweeping activities in both the cemeteries and columbarium :-

CMCO state or region 1) There can only be 50 percent of the maximum capacity of people allowed in the entire columbarium area 2) Must be done between 5am and 6pm 3) The activity and ceremony time is limited to 60 minutes, of which 30 minutes must be used for disinfection. 4) Inter-state traveling is not allowed. RMCO state or region 1) Determine the number of people worshiping at the same time according to the size and the space in the ashes area 2) Must be done between 5am and 6pm 3) The activity and ceremony time is limited to 60 minutes, of which 30 minutes must be used for disinfection. 4) Inter-state traveling is not allowed. |
