Recently launched Perodua Ativa receives 5-Star ASEAN NCAP Rating
Following the launch of the Perodua Ativa on March 3, the ASEAN NCAP released the crash test report on the vehicle, giving it the maximum 5 star rating.

In order to qualify to receive the 5-star rating title, the Ativa was tested using the latest ASEAN NCAP Protocol (2021-2025) that is inclusive of motorcyclist safety as the fourth pillar. This makes it the first model to be tested under this protocol.
Some of the scoring pillars for ASEAN NCAP for this time include; Adult Occupant Protection (AOP), Child Occupant Protection (COP), safety assist, as well as motorcyclist safety. Points for each assessment category are 40 percent, 20 percent, 20 percent and 20 percent, respectively.
With this new protocol, the ASEAN NCAP no longer conducts crash tests on the highest variant with the most safety features but instead now tests the lowest entry level variant. In this case, the base variant was the Ativa X. This move is good, because it pushes most automakers to focus more safety at their entry level variants.

Upon completing the crash test, the Ativa received a top score for COP, average AOP scores, as well as several additional safety systems that aided in the vehicle receiving an 83.4 percent score, making it a 5-star rated car.
The SUV comes with a generous set of safety technologies. Starting off with the basic safety features, the Ativa comes equipped with a total of 6 airbags, Anti Lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill Start Assist (HSA), Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Lane Keep Control (LKC), Blind-Spot Monitoring (BSM) RCTA and SBR.
Some of the enhanced safety features in the Ativa include Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Forward Collision Warning (FCW) and Lane Keeping Assist (LKA).
Due to the Ativa being equipped with the company’s signature Perodua Smart Drive Assist, the vehicle comes with several advanced safety features that include Advanced Safety Assist (ASA), drive assist features like ACC, LKC, BSM and LDW, as well as parking and headlamps assists.

Safety is one of the Ativa’s many key attributes. We cannot wait for deliveries to take place and we are excited to spot more Ativa’s on the road.
