Arcfox Ready To Challenge Tesla With Alpha S Series Smart Car
Arcfox announced the release of its second model Alpha S, and also announced the Alpha S Hi version developed by Arcfox and Huawei. It is equipped with very advanced technology and is ready to challenge Tesla!
This is the first Sedan from Arcfox, and is positioned as a large pure electric car, so it is comparable to Tesla Model S in terms of body specifications. The starting price for Arcfox Alpha S Hi version is at RMB 388900 (Around RM 246,313.90)
In terms of appearance design, Alpha S invited the world-famous design master Walter de'Silva to create a design concept of "beauty without boundaries".
Under the joint development of Huawei and Arcfox, the Arcfox Alpha S Hi version is equipped with Huawei’s newly developed Harmony OS mobile operating system, uses its own chip, and supports up to 24 application ecosystems, including Kuwo music, Kugou music and other interactive applications, to achieve the integration of people and vehicles.
In addition, the center console is equipped with a 20.3-inch LCD screen, which supports 4K high-definition display, anti-glare surface, anti-reflection treatment and cuts down a lot of traditional buttons, making it look very sleek.
In terms of autonomous driving capabilities, Alpha S claims that it has reached L2.5 level on the autonomous driving technology. The Alpha S Hi version is equipped with 3 96-line automotive-grade semi-solid lidars, 6 millimeter-wave radars, 12 ultrasonic radars, 13 cameras, and a Huawei self-developed chip with a computing power of up to 400Tops.
In terms of power, the Arcfox Alpha S Hi version will use front and rear dual motors, with a maximum power of 473Kw, and a zero to hundred acceleration in only 3.5 seconds. As for now, Arcfox has not announced it's mileage range. It is reported that the Alpha S Hi version can be charged for 10 minutes through the new fast charging technology and has an amazing data of 197 kilometers of battery life!
