Meanwhile, the Prime Minister announced that <a rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.carz.com.my/2025/10/govt-denies-rumours-of-budi95-quota-cut" target="_blank" style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">the monthly RON95 quota for e-hailing drivers has been increased from 600 to 800 litres following feedback that the current limit was insufficient.</a>“If they truly have records and needs, then the government agrees to increase the eligibility limit for BUDI95 for e-hailing drivers to 800 litres per month,” he noted.

Removal of RON95 subsidies for the T15 income group will wait until the BUDI95 system is stable.

The <a rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.carz.com.my/2025/10/loke-confirms-my50-pass-flysiswa-festive-airfare-cap-to-continue" target="_blank" style="">Transport Ministry is exploring ways to expand the FLYSiswa programme</a>, which offers a RM400 flight ticket subsidy to students in private universities (IPTS). Its Minister Anthony Loke said the government wants to help more students, but limited funding remains a major challenge due to the large number of potential recipients.

“Whether to extend it to IPTS students, the number is very large. It’s not that we don’t want to, but there are financial constraints. If each student gets RM400, and there are 100,000 students, that’s already RM40 million,” he said in Parliament.He further mentioned that the ministry is still looking for options to include IPTS students who genuinely need assistance.Currently, the RM400 flight voucher applies only to students from public universities (IPTA), polytechnics, and teacher training colleges under the Education Ministry.

The initiative mainly helps Sabahan and Sarawakian students studying in Peninsular Malaysia travel home more affordably.The FLYSiswa programme, launched in 2023, initially offered RM300 before being increased to RM400 in Jan this year.Loke said the ministry has spent RM19.5 million this year to subsidise 39,764 flight tickets under the RM499 fare cap for routes between Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan. Each ticket received about RM491 in subsidies, reducing the average fare from RM990 to RM499.

“This year’s subsidy covered major festive seasons like Chinese New Year, Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Gawai, Kaamatan and will continue for Christmas next month,” Loke added.Last year, the ministry spent RM11 million to subsidise 26,993 tickets under the RM599 fare cap, allowing passengers to pay up to RM599 instead of the average RM1,007.

The sinkhole, located at the intersection of Jalan Datuk Ismail Hashim and Jalan Kenari, measures about 3.5 metres wide, 5 metres long, and nearly 2 metres deep. The spot is right in front of the school and opposite KFC Desa Riang, a stretch known for heavy traffic during peak hours.Thankfully, no one was hurt. Videos of the gaping hole quickly went viral, showing motorists slowing down and avoiding the damaged stretch.

Full-time <a rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.carz.com.my/2025/11/budi95-only-06-max-out-quota-govt-flags-unusual-purchase-near-border" target="_blank" style="">e-hailing drivers will soon receive a higher monthly fuel allocation under the BUDI95 subsidy programme</a>, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced today, reported by Bernama.

“Therefore, the government has agreed to increase the Budi95 eligibility limit for e-hailing drivers to 800 litres per month,” he told the Dewan Rakyat, noting that it will be subject to certain travel conditions.The announcement follows<a rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.carz.com.my/2025/10/govt-denies-rumours-of-budi95-quota-cut" target="_blank" style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;"> growing calls from e-hailing drivers who said the previous quota of 600 litres was not enough to cover daily trips.&nbsp;</a>It also marks the second revision this year with the first being in Oct when the government raised the limit from 300 to 600 litres, benefiting around 58,000 drivers nationwide.

The Prime Minister earlier hinted at the increase after reviewing fuel usage data submitted by e-hailing platforms and appeals from driver associations.&nbsp;Treasury Secretary-General Datuk Johan Mahmood Merican said <a rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.carz.com.my/2025/10/over-10-million-malaysians-benefit-from-budi95-targeted-fuel-subsidy" target="_blank" style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">the decision was made after analysing the data and considering operational needs.</a>
