Perodua Does It Again! Additional RM80,000 Worth Of Medical Supplies Contributed To Hospital Sungai Buloh
As part of Perodua's ongoing efforts to help key public institutions across the country, the compact carmaker has committed an additional RM80,000 worth of medical supplies to Hospital Sungai Buloh.

Included in the supplies are 5,000 face shields, wheelchairs fitted with safety belts, commode chairs, transfer boards, bed railings, rehabilitation chairs, walking frames, walking sticks as well as a therapy tilt table.

“The supplies provided are based on feedback given by the hospital’s administrative team to help keep their staff safe and patients comfortable,” said Perodua president and chief executive officer Dato’ Zainal Abidin Ahmad.

Manufactured by an associate company, the 5,000 face shields recently contributed to the hospital brings a grand total of 35,000 pieces contributed by Perodua to various organizations in Malaysia. Recipients of these shields include schools, clinics, local government offices, councils and even market hawkers located in the surrounding community.
Previously, Perodua has also contributed 150 mattresses, 200 pillows, 105 boxes of mineral water, 15 industrial fans and 300 pairs of rubber boots to Hospital Sungai Buloh during the first Movement Control Order (MCO), last year in addition to the RM2 million to the National Disaster Management Agency’s (NADMA) COVID-19 fund.
As a recap, NADMA’s COVID-19 fund was launched by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin with the purpose of assisting Malaysians who are most prone to the risk of the Movement Control Order (MCO). In efforts to aid Malaysians affected by the MCO, the government also announced the Bantuan Prihatin Nasional stimulus package.

“We will continue to communicate with key public institutions to see where Perodua may contribute strategically in supporting the nation. We thank and salute our brave men and women who work tirelessly to serve us all,” Zainal said.
