Prestige Image Motorcars’ Latest Offering, The Tesla Cybertruck

The Tesla distributor, Prestige Image Motorcars has recently presented their latest offering at the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) Hybrid 2021 and it is the Tesla Cybertruck.

During the auto show event that recently came to end in Jakarta, Prestige Image Motorcars have announced that a model of the Tesla Cybertruck will be available for their local market and the order books have now been opened.

It is anticipated to be made available for the Indonesian market next year in March and the Cybertruck’s overall pricing is said to be around 2 miliar rupiah (RM 566,298).

On that note, for the first batch of the Cybertruck that will be offered, the range topper three-motor all-wheel drive variant will have a price tag that starts at US$69,900 (RM 287,032).

Whereas the base single-motor rear-wheel drive variant will start at US$39,900, (RM 163,840), which is significantly cheaper.

Performance side, the Tesla Cybertruck tri-motor (AWD) variant is able to provide a range of about over 800 km. The three electric motors enable it to accelerate from a standstill to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds.

As for the Cybertruck single motor (RWD) variant, its electric motor is able to provide about over 402 km of range and has an acceleration from a standstill to 100 km/h in less than 6.5 seconds.

Tesla’s chief executive officer Elon Musk commented, “If we are lucky we’ll be able to do a few deliveries towards the end of this year, however we expect volume production to begin in 2022.”

Now, after knowing that our neighbouring country is getting the infamous Cybertruck, will Malaysia also be getting a chance of seeing this futuristic looking vehicle rolling down our streets?
