The ID. family has recently welcomed the dual-motor all-wheel drive ID.4 GTX to the lineup, with prices starting from €50,415 (RM254,524.89) in Germany. Additionally, customers can opt for a subsidy available at €7,500 (RM37,864.46).

“The ID.4 GTX is our first all-electric high-performance model under the GTX label. It offers practical, excellent sense combined with driving pleasure. The ID.4 GTX is as sporty as a GTI, as comfortable as an SUV and as sustainable as the other members of the ID. family. And with the GTX we are once more accelerating our ‘Way to Zero’–to make Volkswagen net carbon-neutral by 2050.” said Volkswagen’s board member for sales, marketing and after sales Klaus Zellmer.
Similar to the GTI and GTE, the GTX is part of an independent product brand, aiming to shift the electric mobility world with new vehicles that combine intelligent sportiness with performance and sustainability.

The sole all-wheel drive vehicle in the ID. family carries a battery with a net energy content of 77 kWH, sufficient for a range of 340 to 480 kilometers. Two electric drive motors are fitted to the front and rear axles with maximum charging capacity of 125 kW, which delivers a maximum output of 220 kW (295 hp) and a century sprint of 6.2 seconds.
As standard, the Vehicle Dynamics Manager works closely with the all-wheel drive control as well as braking control system to ensure that the driving dynamics and stability are up to the very best level.

The design of the ID.4 GTX showcases a robust look with its familiar light strip at the front combined with the three honeycomb elements which form the daytime running lights. Alongside the revamped bumpers, the eye-catching 3D LED tail lamps merged with brake lamps is seen at the rear which forms an X when lit.

There is no such thing as too many firsts - the ID.4 GTX will also feature a completely revamped structure for optional equipment in the configuration. Customers will first determine the appearance of their vehicle, followed by an organised optional selection of packages: Design, Infotainment, Assistance, Comfort and Sport Packages which is available on both Standard and Plus variants. Moreover, the new option structure will also be available for other members of the ID. family, the ID.3 and ID.4.
