SUPERCARS: Ferrari Competizione Twins Rev Up To 9,500 Rpm!
Ferrari S.p.A has unveiled the limited edition 812 Competizione and 812 Competizione A, derived from the 812 Superfast.

The 812 Competizione is limited to only 999 units, while the 812 Competizione A, which A stands for Aperta, the Targa-top version of the car, will only have 599 units.

Ferrari claims that both the models and sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.85 seconds, while it takes 7.5 seconds to reach 200 km/h. They can reach a top speed of 340 km/h. The 812 Competizione has completed a lap in Fiorano in 1 minute and 20 seconds.

On top of that, the 812 Competizione is 38 kg lighter than the Superfast at 1,487 kg. It was also able to sprint faster than the Superfast, for both the 100 km/h and 200 km/h categories.
Some of the improvement done in the Competizione includes the ability to rev to 9,500 rpm, the redesign of the distribution and cylinder heads, the diamond-like carbon coating, the titanium con-rods – which made it 40 percent lighter, the new variable-displacement oil pump, and many more.
As for its features, it comes with carbon-fibre finishing all over the unit, 20-inch wheels, independent four-wheel steering, Side Slip Control (SSC) 7.0, new rectangular-shaped tailpipes layout, a higher sitting spoiler, electronic differential 3.0, F1-Traction Control, SCM-Frs magnetorheological suspension control, Virtual Short Wheelbase 3.0, amongst others. There are plentiful of customisation for its materials and finishes to suit any personal requirements, such as the seats, steering wheels, rim designs, brake system, and many more.

The seven-year maintenance programme covers both the 812 Competizione and the 812 Competizione A. The 812 Competizione is priced at 499,000 Euros (RM 2.5 million) in Italy, while the 812 Competizione A is retailed at 578,000 Euros (RM 2.9 million). The first deliveries are expected to begin the first quarter next year.
