Ferrari Elettrica EV Will have 1,000 HP Quad-Motor Setup & 529 KM Range
the fabled Italian prancing horse marque has dished out details of its upcoming first EV offering that debuts next year.

Fabled Italian supercars marque Ferrari have released details of its upcoming first battery electric vehicle (BEV) offering. Codenamed ‘Elettrica’, the model will debut next year and, ahead of which, the prancing horse marque have shown off its chassis and confirmed several details.
Firstly, the Ferrari Elettrica will present itself as a “four-door four-seater GT” instead of a sleek coupe sports car. It will be indirectly positioned as the successor to the V12-engined FF and GTC4 Lusso – the marque’s past luxury-focused four-seat (but only two-doored) GTs.

Firstly, the first Ferrari EV - codenamed 'Elettrica' - will present itself as a four-seat and four-door GT a la the Purosangue (above) instead of a sleep sports coupe like the 12cilindri (top left and right).

Ferrari is electing the reveal the Elettrica in three stages starting with technical details announced today. The second stage will be announcing the model’s official name early next year (2026). The third and final stage will be the final unveiling slated for middle of next year (2026) - not Oct 2026 as reported prior.
"When you have a lot of innovation, like in the case of the Elettrica, you have to show step by step what is in the car,” reasoned brand CEO Benedetto Vigna.
At this first stage, Ferrari have chosen to detail the Elettrica's bespoke new 800-volt chassis and platform in full.

The first stage today saw House Maranello revealing its bespoke new chassis in full. Besides housing a massive 122 kWh battery pack, it will also accommodate a quad-motor powertrain and driveline promising at least 1,000 HP, not forgetting active suspension tech derived from the Purosangue and new F80 halo car too.
In terms of dimensions and footprints, sources online predict the Elettrica will be similar to the Purosangue – Ferrari’s first crossover SUV-like offering that features a four-seat and four-door setup, albeit with a significantly lifted ride height and ground clearance.
Ferrari Purosangue pictured. The marque added that the Elettrica's platform will have minimal overhangs, extremely short wheelbase, and a layout mirroring its signasture mid-rear-engined coupes.

Ferrari describes the Elettrica’s platform as having minimal overhangs, an “extremely short” wheelbase plus a layout derived form the marque’s signature mid-rear-engined ‘Berlinetta’ (coupe) models – a la the 296 and SF90.
A rather hefty targeted kerb weight of 2,300 KG was touted too, but Ferrari promises the Elettrica will offer “the purest dynamic feedback while also facilitating accessibility and maximising comfort.”

The Elettrica's battery pack will boast a massive 112 kWh capacity plus up to 195 Wh/KG density at launch. It will also be able to draw in DC fast charging inputs as high as 350 kW.

Rated at 800-volt, the platform's ability to draw in DC fast-charging speeds up to 350 kW was touted, as well as the promise of up to 529 KM of range. Up to 13 modules will be housed under the floor plus another two on top beneath the rear seats.
The battery itself will be designed and assembled entirely in Maranello using cells supplied by SK On. The automaker also promises a battery density as high as 195 Wh/KG – the highest of any EV on sale at launch too.

The quad-motor setup, on the other hand, should promise no less than 986 hp under full throttle to enable 0-100 km/h sprints in just 2.5 secs. Ferrari also touts peak torque figures as high as 3,498 Nm.

Back to total output, Ferrari did not has not given an official combined figure. Instead, it promises to be one of the most powerful cars the firm has yet built where it combines up to 832 hp from its two rear e-motors with a further 282 hp from its front e-motors.
With over 986 hp touted under full throttle, expect the Ferrari Elettrica to despatch 0-100 km/h sprints in just 2.5 secs (just 0.3 secs slower than the F80) and hit a V-max of 309 km/h. The supercars purveyor also touts peak torque figures as high as 3,498 Nm.

Other key chassis assets include full torque vectoring at all four corners, four-wheel-steering, as well as a 48-volt semi-active suspension system derived and evolved from the Purosangue.

Other claims include full torque vectoring to all four corners to maximise agility and stability on top of four-wheel steering (4WS) with up to 2.15 degrees of steering angle at the rear, as well as the adoption of a 48V semi-active suspension system evolved from the Purosangue.
The latter will consist of a motorised damper on each corner, which moves up and down on a threaded screw in response to dynamic load and changes in surface. All will be controlled by a central computer that responds by measuring all dynamic parameters across the chassis 200 times per second.
Ferrari even touts that the Elettrica will be an EV that drivers "love to rev", and it promises one rather elaborate artificial engine sound suite that functions similarly as how an electric guitar does.

Ferrari even promises the Elettrica at being an EV that drivers “love to rev”, and this will stem from an artificially enhanced whirring and whining of its e-motors. the marque described this artificial ‘engine note’ generation working similarly as how an electric guitar does, in fact.
Lastly and, perhaps the most critical detail confirmed by Ferrari, is the fact that that it won’t limit production numbers. It won’t be a limited-run special, but a “range car” with a price tag determined by its sales volume.
