All-New Enhancements, Proton Unveils the X70 Special Edition!
Perusahaan Otomobil Nasional Sdn Bhd (Proton), the second-largest national carmaker in Malaysia, has launched a limited to 2,000 units Proton X70 Special Edition.
"By adding the Proton X70 Special Edition to our model range, Proton has expanded the upper tier of our target market. While it is a limited production model, we feel strongly that it will appeal to buyers accustomed to vehicles with luxury features who are looking for a new SUV at a great price," said Proton Edar Sdn Bhd, chief executive officer Roslan Abdullah in a statement.
The new Special Edition has been given exterior and interior enhancements. The new features include the unique Ocean Blue exterior colour (it is also available in the Ruby Red), a new design 19-inch wheels, a black coloured roof, rear spoiler and door mirrors, as well as an SE emblem on the tailgate.
As for its interior now comes with black Nappa leather seats, exclusive interior trim finishing, and SE-specific carpet mats.
Apart from that, the Proton X70 Special Edition shares most specifications of the Premium 2WD variant. It is powered by the 1.8-litre TGDi engine mated to the 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
On top of that, it is also equipped with the Proton Intelligent Air Purification System (P-IAPS), six SRS airbags, Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), tyre pressure monitoring system and 360 camera.
The Proton X70 Special Edition is priced at RM 123,800. Subject to availability, from now until December 31, 2021, the X70 Special Edition will be sold with the PEMERKASA+ Sales Tax incentive worth RM 7,000. Booking starts from RM 99. For more information, visit www.proton.com
