Dumbfounded, An Elderly Woman Received 20 Summonses For Speeding
Recently, an elderly woman in Swansea, South Wales was shocked upon receiving nearly 20 summonses for riding a motorcycle over the speed limit.
Karen Goode, 59, initially thought it was just a practical joke when she received the summons sent in the mail from police.

The mother of two and four grandchildren thinks so because she has never ridden her 125 cc Honda motorcycle all the way to Swansea before, which is 531 km away from where she lives.
Having only ridden her motorcycle in her town, Northampton, she was dumbfounded to receive the summons for riding more than 80 km/h in the speed limit area of less than 49 km/h in Swansea.

“It was shocking to receive these many summonses. I had lodged a police report, however they informed me to ignore the tickets if I had never committed the offense,” commented Karen Goode.
Back in April she received the first ticket and earlier this month, a warning letter was given to her stating that she will be taken to court for failure to pay the summonses.

Goode, who passed her motorcycle riding test in December last year, suspected that her motorcycle registration number had been duplicated by irresponsible parties.
South Wales police when reached by the Wales Online said they have extended the case to GoSafe, as they’re the ones operating the cameras to detect the speed limit in Swansea.
A spokesman for the company concluded that if there was a complaint about a duplicate vehicle registration number, they would investigate the matters further.
