JPJ Counters Are Now Open Every Weekend - Here’s What You Need To Know!
The Road Transport Department (JPJ) has informed the public to renew expired Motor Vehicle License (LKM) and Malaysian Driving License (LMM) including Vocational License (GDL/PSV), before 30 September 2021.
After this date, the renewal extension period for LKM and LMM will not be extended. For this matter, people will have to make an appointment online through the appointment system provided.
Given the increase in appointment requests, JPJ has announced the opening of over-the-counter operations every weekend which has started on August 13. Hours of operation are from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and only cashless payments are allowed.
It is important to note that weekends for the states of Kedah, Terengganu, Kelantan and Johor are on Fridays and Saturdays. While for other states it is on Saturday and Sunday.
The public is reminded to abide by the SOPs set by the MKN and MOH when conducting business and in public places.
Important Information on the Opening of JPJ Counters
- Hours of operation: 9.00 am to 1.00 pm
- Operating days for Kedah, Terengganu, Kelantan & Johor: Friday & Saturday
- Days of operation for other states: Saturday & Sunday
Meanwhile, for matters that can be done at the Post Office such as license renewal and road tax can be arranged through the Outlet Finder in the Post Office website.
Please be reminded that walk-ins are not allowed at all. All matters need to be arranged through scheduled appointments. A list of JPJ's online appointment system based on state can be found on JPJ's Facebook page.
