Volvo Cars Announce Global Sales of 56,883 Vehicles In July!
Volvo Cars recently announced the global sales of 56,883 cars in July, 8.7 percent lower than July last year.
This decrease was caused by lower sales numbers in Europe and July 2020’s strong global sales performance. Not forgetting the issue of the worldwide shortage of semiconductors.
Volvo Cars sold 437,640 cars globally over the first seven months of 2021, making it 31.7 percent higher as compared to last year.
According to the company, 25.5 percent of all cars sold in July were part of the Volvo Cars’ Recharge line-up. As for Europe, more than 43 percent of all cars sold during the month were from the Recharge line-up.
Following that, US sales had an increase of 19.4 percent, with 11,575 cars sold in July. US sales also had a 42.3 percent increase to 75,329 vehicles during the year’s first seven months.
On top of that, China had an increase of 1 percent, reaching 14,550 cars. Sales also increased by 37 percent within the first seven months of 2021.
The XC60 became a bestseller, which was followed by the XC90 for both US and China.
However, July sales for Volvo Cars in Europe had dropped by 22 percent, reaching 22,408 cars compared to July last year. A bestseller in Europe was the XC40 which was followed by the XC60. Europe achieved a total sales of 189,230 vehicles within the first seven months of 2021.
