Driving Test Process To Commence This September 17!

Good news to the Motor Vehicle Driving Training (ILP) Industry nationwide! Starting today, ILPs are allowed to re-operate but with strict standard operating procedures.
Among them, all arrangements must be made by appointment, while instructors and candidates who have completed their vaccination must submit the COVID-19 Digital Vaccination Certificate and identity card as proof.

Additionally, ILPs are only allowed to operate with employee capacity based on the percentage (%) of employees who have completed receiving the vaccine.
"This means that if 40 percent of ILP workers have been vaccinated, the institute is allowed to operate with a capacity of 60 percent. On the other hand, if 60 percent of the workforce are fully vaccinated, the institute can operate with 80 percent capacity," said Transport Minister Datuk Seri Wee Ka Siong yesterday.

However, the driving test process to obtain a driver's license will only begin on September 17.
This step enabled the driving institute and the Road Transport Department (JPJ) to be fully prepared.
Although with the reopening of the ILP, staff or candidates who have symptoms are in the Tightened Movement Control Order (PKPD), Patients Under Monitoring (PUS) or are undergoing a quarantine order are not allowed to attend the ILP.
As is well known, our country continues to struggle with COVID-19 infection cases, which are becoming more and more alarming. Staff and candidates are reminded to always adhere to the health protocol set by the Ministry of Health (MOH).

The public is advised to implement new norms such as body temperature check, MySejahtera scan, practising physical imprisonment, wearing a face mask and using hand sanitation.
Of course, for those who do not comply with any of the prescribed SOPs, you may be subject to action under the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988 (Act 342).
The important thing is, stay compliant with the SOPs even if given the flexibility to re-operate!
