KM 11.95 on the Gua Musang-Jeli stretch,<a rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.carz.com.my/2025/09/full-closure-on-gua-musanglojing-due-to-sinkhole" target="_blank"> damaged by a sinkhole and landslide</a>, is now under repair and is expected to fully reopen by the end of the month.Authorities have already filled the sinkhole, which was discovered around 7:30AM yesterday. The damage occurred while contractors were carrying out ongoing road maintenance.Mohd Roshdi Ismail, chairman of the Gua Musang District Disaster Management Committee, said the Public Works Department (JKR) had been informed of the incident. “The contractors are always on-site, ready to respond immediately if anything happens,” he said.

The trials will check signalling, communications, train performance, and operational readiness. Passenger capacity tests are planned for next year to ensure smooth service.
“All eight train sets will be fully tested over six to seven months before driverless operations begin. Four sets are already at the depot, with the remaining four arriving by December 2025,” Marzuki added. RTSO chairman Datuk Khairil Anwar Ahmad confirmed the project is progressing smoothly, with 65% overall completion and safety standards strictly enforced. Once operational in early 2027, the RTS Link is expected to carry up to 10,000 passengers per hour in each direction.

“People-mover systems tend to be complex and could experience catastrophic failures if issues related to signalling, power distribution, vehicles, software, and sensor alignment are not perfected,” he explained.Law further mentioned that world-class systems like Frankfurt’s SkyLine, Changi Airport’s Skytrain, and Hong Kong’s APM demonstrate that technology can perform at high levels with uptimes exceeding 99% if managed and maintained properly.“KLIA’s global ranking will ultimately depend on performance and maintenance. If the action plan is implemented successfully, KLIA can reach the level of reputable airports and people movers,” he added.KLIA’s Aerotrain will be out of service nightly from 9PM to 7AM starting Nov 15 for about a month as Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) carries out a major upgrade to fix recurring disruptions.
