New Assets For The Royal Malaysian Police? Or Is It A Prop Car?
Several photos and videos went viral on social media this morning, showing the BWM M3 Competition, BMW X3 and two units of Volkswagen Tiguan police cars.
This sparked controversy among netizens giving various reactions which include misuse of taxpayers' money, these cars will be used by the Royal Malaysian Police force as escort vehicles for the royalties, and even some claimed that is a prop car for filming use. It was all because there was a code "CPP 01" which refers to Escort Guard Division (Cawangan Pengawal Pengiring).
However, local news reported that these 4 vehicles are most likely to appear in upcoming movies like the Police Evo 3 or The Catcher.
Some says it is most likely to be seen in The Catcher movie, as the film involved is the most expensive production in Malaysian's history. The film is said to showcase the lifestyle and also the car modification culture in Malaysia, which cost more than RM50 million to produce, as it features about 500 'supercars'.
Meanwhile, at press time, Caricarz failed to get a confirmation from either party, BMW Group Malaysia and the Royal Malaysian Police.
For your information, the BMW M3 Competition is powered by a 3.0-litre BMW M TwinPower six-cylinder inline petrol engine that generates 510 hp and 650 Nm of torque. It is mated to an 8-speed M Steptronic automatic transmission with Drivelogic.
With these kinds of specifications, even the 'King of The Road' - Myvi couldn't outrun this machine.
