Cornering The Road With Stylish DS 3 Crossback Faubourg

The third generation DS 3 Crossback is a subcompact luxury crossover SUV built by Stellantis under the DS Automobiles. It was unveiled for the first time in September 2018 and debuted at a public premiere during the 88th Paris Motor Show a month after the launch.

DS Automobiles released its new beast, a French luxury vehicle brand, the DS 3 Crossback FAUBOURG Limited Edition, featuring a host of high tech and stylish features complemented by its refinement and expertise.

With four Formula E titles over the past three years, DS Automobiles has proven its expertise in electrification by offering a fully electric vehicle.

This FAUBOURG Limited Edition includes producing zero carbon emissions, a 100kW (136hp) motor, a 50kWh battery, a WLTP-approved range of 341km, rapid charging up to eighty percent in 30 minutes at any charging point, and complete charging in five hours with an 11kW alternating charger.

Mechanically, DS 3 Crossback FAUBOURG offers two intriguing engines for this limited-edition DS 3 Crossback.On the one hand, we have a 1.2-litre PureTech gasoline engine that puts out 130 horsepower and 230 Nm of torque. There's also a1.5-litre BlueHDi diesel with 130 hp and 300 Nm. Both engines are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.

For specifications, the DS 3 CROSSBACK range changes with new naming such as MONTMARTRE, BASTILLE, RIVOLI, PERFORMANCE LINE, PERFORMANCE LINE +, and BUSINESS are reserved for companies.

However, given the BASTILLE specification, this Limited Edition adds modern technology. As part of this special designation, the interior is finished in Basalt Black grain leather, with a complete grain leather steering wheel coupled with a leather gear lever knob.

With these premium steering wheels, it’s enhancing the looks of it, and drivers could have better control while driving both automatic and manual transmission.

DS 3 CROSSBACK FAUBOURG upgraded its display with Clou de Paris embossed inserts merged with Basalt Black leather effect trim on dashboard and door panels, along with thick mats placed at the front and rear seats. Owners also get to choose roof linings that may be either light or dark colours.

On the exterior part, the FAUBOURG edition features 17-inch Madrid alloy wheels, tinted rear glass, and a matte black grille paired with chrome DS Wings. The model’s back has been adorned with additional chrome pieces, making it even more exclusive.

The French firm has showcased a profusion connectivity system where DS 3 CROSSBACK FAUBOURG offers a large 10.3-inch HD touchscreen with Navigation System that displays Real-Time Traffic Information, TomTom Traffic Service, Invisible Radio Antenna and Speed Cameras.

Then, for charging, it has wireless charging, which is available in the glovebox at the bottom of the centre console, and an additional USB port is in the centre armrest.

DS 3 Crossback FAUBOURG is available in eight colours: Millenium Blue, Crystal Pearl, Pearly Pearl White, Ruby Red, Pearl Black, Platinum Gray, Artense Gray, and Banquise White, with four roof colour options.

DS 3 CROSSBACK models start at 25,600 euros (RM122,454.06). There are two Limited Editions currently available: DS 3 CROSSBACK FAUBOURG and DS 3 CROSSBACK LOUVRE.
