This Japanese supercar is known to find their way into the police or military fleets, but this particular vehicle will be used to transport organs. It was confiscated due to a conviction and will be used exclusively for transporting human organs to hospitals around the cities of Porto and Lisbon.
The Guard has stated that time is essential for transporting human organs as it involves quality and safety of the organs. In a case whereby it arrives late, the possibility of a damaged organ is higher and thus increases the risks of the receiver to not be able to enjoy a healthy life.
As of recent, the Guard has delivered 2,836 organs with the help of approximately 5,700 militants. This accumulates a travel distance of more than 50,000km since the last 10 years.
There were two units received by the Guard, and no information was given regarding the owner of the vehicles. It was reported to be tied with tax issues.
The GT-R is powered by a 3.8-litre V6 engine with a Dual-Clutch Transmission (DCT) which produces 550 hp and 632Nm of torque. The all-wheel drive vehicle is able to sprint in approximately three seconds, and has a maximum speed of 315 km per hour.
