Chery Tiggo 8 & 7 Pro Officially Debut in Indonesia!

Chery announces its premium SUVs, the Tiggo 8 Pro and Tiggo 7 Pro has been officially launched in Indonesia which recognises the country as the first right-hand drive ASEAN country.

The combined debut of Chery's best-sellers in Indonesia marks a key step toward more modern and smarter products for Indonesians in the future, including new energy vehicles especially as all-electric models.

Newly launched Tiggo 8 Pro comes as a large SUV targeted at upwardly mobile entrepreneurs and professionals through its combination of intelligent technology, premium features, and seven-seat versatility.

Several features include a 12.3-inch LCD instrument panel, 12.5-inch central control screen, eight-inch climate control touchscreen, 360-degree Around View Monitor, voice command and over 10 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) functions to improve travel safety.

Its technology-laden interior boasts a seven-inch LCD instrument panel, 10.25-inch centre console screen, 8-inch climate control touchscreen, 360- degree camera, electric tailgate, and wireless charging for mobile devices. Aside from that, the more compact Tiggo 7 Pro cuts a stylish and dynamic figure through its intelligent matrix-LED headlamps and ‘floating roof’ design. On safety aspect, apart from ADAS, adaptive cruise control and emergency braking functions also included.

As ASEAN’s largest economy, Indonesia plays a strategic role in Chery’s plans for further globalisation. 

The car behemoth currently has 22 sales and service outlets under construction in major cities such as Jakarta, Java, Sumatra, Kalimantan, and Sulawesi, and in the coming year, the company will build 70 sales and service outlets to fully cover the Indonesian market and provide more convenient services to local customers.

Chery has also built a 4,000-square metre spare parts warehouse in the Cikarang factory to store service parts as well as those pertaining to the electrical systems and chassis.

The construction of further spare parts warehouses in the outer islands such as Sumatra, Kalimantan and Sulawesi are being accelerated to meet the demand of more users for spare parts.

Following the success of its first physical preview event in Malaysia in October, the firm is now working closely with regional partners to set up assembly operations as well as a new national sales and after-sales network to best serve Malaysians going forward. Chery plans to continue its expansion throughout ASEAN in the upcoming year.
