Malaysian Olympics & Paralympics athletes are eligible for discounts of up to 50% on selected Chery models.
Chery Malaysia continues to shower its support for Malaysian athletes at the recent Olympics and Paralympic games in Paris. Following the giveaway of free Chery vehicles to Olympic medalists, the Wuhu-based automaker now offers special discounts on selected Chery models for Malaysia's Olympic and Paralympic athletes.
Athletes who won the gold medal are eligible for a 50% discount on selected Chery models such as the Tiggo 8 Pro three-row SUV, the Omoda 5 B-SUV, and the Omoda E5 EV SUV. Meanwhile, silver medalists and athletes who reached the semifinals and finals will receive a 30% discount instead.
On top of that, all Malaysian athletes who qualified to compete in the Olympics and Paralympics will enjoy a 15% discount on the same range of Chery vehicles.
This discount campaign is part of the automaker’s plan to reinforce its support for Malaysian athletes by celebrating their achievements and recognising their exceptional performances in the recent Paris games. Moving forward, the automaker hopes to see more Malaysian athletes quality for the upcoming 2028 summer Olympics and Paralympics games, which are set to take place in Los Angeles, USA.
Chery Malaysia Vice President Michael Chew
"As a new player in Malaysia’s automotive landscape, we are deeply honoured to support our local athletes. Their grit, determination, and perseverance are an inspiration to us all, and we hope to continue encouraging Malaysia's sports talent," said Michael Chew, Vice President of Chery Malaysia.
"We are incredibly proud of the Malaysian contingent’s results in Paris. Their success shines a spotlight on the power of dedication, hard work, and national pride. Sports hold a special place in the heart of every Malaysian, inspiring unity and pride as we come together as one team, one nation,” Michael added.
Prior to this special discount campaign, Chery Malaysia previously handed Malaysian Olympics bronze medalists Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik, who competed in the Men's Doubles event, along with fellow shuttler Lee Zii Jia, who competed in the Men's Singles, a brand new Chery Tiggo 7 Pro C-segment SUV.
This giveaway was part of Chery’s prior campaign, where the automaker pledged to award our national heroes at the Paris 2024 Olympics with some of its SUV models, such as the Tiggo 8 Pro for gold medal winners, the Omoda E5 EV for silver medalists, and the Tiggo 7 Pro for those who won the bronze medal.
