Perodua Embraces Malaysia Automotive Discount Voucher
The Ministry of Finance has confirmed that a voucher worth RM1000 will be given to those victims whose vehicles were damaged due to the severe flood incident a few months ago.
Affected owners can make good use of the automotive discount voucher to pay for the repair of a water-damaged vehicle or to replace a vehicle that has been declared a total loss.
Do bear in mind that a direct deduction will be made from the total cost of repairs or from the cost of replacing new vehicles through invoices that will be issued by service centres and authorised distributors.
Perodua president and chief executive officer Datuk Zainal Abidin Ahmad mentioned that 1987 Perodua vehicles had been towed to 200 service centres for evaluation, and 323 units have been fixed.
“Our immediate goal is to repair the flood damaged vehicles as quickly as possible as we understand that our customers truly need their Perodua vehicle for their day-to-day needs,” he added.
However, the Automotive Discount Voucher can only be used until March 31, 2022, when owners can redeem the voucher at only selected automotive brands’ authorised service centres.
This effort also can be seen through the Perodua Flood Assist programme, which consists of a 50 percent discount for standard parts and free labour for all parts replacement.
Then, the company also offers free 24-hour towing service just by dialling Perodua’s 1800-88-5555 hotline number with terms and conditions applied.
