Sport Car Stolen & Found Burnt After
The hopes of a Nissan Silvia 180SX owner to find his missing car ended in despair when his vehicle was found burnt in Kelantan recently.
As the owner Louis Lai spread the news of the loss of his car on social media, he was willing to increase the reward from RM10,000 to RM20,000 just to have his car returned to him.
However, fate was not on his side when the car stolen in Kepong, Kuala Lumpur was found in a charred condition near Kampung Tasek National School, Sungai Petai, Pasir Puteh, Kelantan.
Following the discovery of the car, the police contacted Louis to make an identification of the car and later, confirming the Nissan Silvia 180SX belongs to him.
The car was worth RM100,000 which was manufactured in Japan from 1989 to 1993.
However, Pasir Puteh District Police Chief, Deputy Superintendent Ediansha Endal is actively hunting for the criminal responsible for the incident.
"The police are conducting an investigation but there is no finding of a corpse in the car as it was spread on social media," he said.
However, the incident sparked various questions among netizens. Some have assumed that the culprit was willing to do so because he failed to escape along with the car.
Clearly, the incident not only brought grief to the owner but also the entire automotive enthusiast as the car model is rarely found in the local or international market.
