Michelin 24H Series Heads to Malaysia for 2025/2026 Season

The Michelin 24H Series is heading to Malaysia next season, with the 12H Malaysia round set to be the season opener.
The Michelin 24H Series is heading to Malaysia for the 2025/2026 season, with the Petronas Sepang International Circuit (SIC) selected as the season opener for the Middle East region category. This race will take place during the first week of Dec 2025, where it will be the category’s first stop to the Far East.
The practice and qualifying sessions of the Michelin 12H Malaysia will take place on Dec 5, while the main 12-hour endurance race will follow the next day on Dec 6. According to Creventic, the organiser and promoter for the 24H Series Middle East, more than 20 entries have been confirmed for this inaugural round.

Among the teams confirmed for participation is local racing outfit Viper Niza Racing, who will field their pair of Mercedes-AMG GT3 racecars for the opening round. Meanwhile, other renowned racing outfits like HRT, Muhlner Motorsport, Absolute Racing, and EBM are also poised to compete next season.

The Michelin 24H Series Middle East category was initially introduced back during the winter of 2022/2023 in a bid to allow teams to extend their race programmes into the new year. Following the first round in Malaysia, the series will continue to the actual Middle East region, with the following races being the Michelin 24H Dubai from Jan 9 to 11, 2026, and the Michelin 6H Abu Dhabi from Jan 16 to 18, 2026.

Commenting on this announcement, Commercial Event Manager at Creventic David Vink said, “All of us at Creventic are absolutely delighted to be making this announcement, our first visit to Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia for the first round of the Michelin 24H Series Middle East. The track truly is one of the very best in world motorsport, and the addition of Sepang to our calendar shows the ambitions we have and how we listen intently to our competitors and teams.
“Visiting Sepang is something our staple race teams from the Michelin 24H SERIES have been asking about for a number of years, underlining its popularity, and so we are very happy indeed to deliver this opportunity. I think we can safely say as well we will expect an incredibly strong and healthy grid for the trip to Sepang, with more than 20 entries already received,” he added.
