BMW E-INK Put on A Show At CES, LAS VEGAS
An exhibition was held at Las Vegas by BMW when the event displayed iX Flow featuring E-ink enables the exterior to change colour as explained from previous article.

Good thing on the colour switches, it helps to reduce energy consumption along with the vehicle’s range. The electrophoretic coat in the BMW iX Flow featuring E Ink varies from the one exhibited as it does not constantly consume energy except when switching over and only then electricity is required in minimal usage.

On top of that, the matching exterior colour enhances the energy efficiency of the vehicle. The edgy model carries significant body foiling and incorporates millions of colour capsules. As for the exterior unique coating, the process completed in the same approach to the technology in e-book readers.

As the innovative features allow users to switch colours and put on a variety of patterns, driving experience also might differ for drivers.

"In this way, we give drivers the freedom to express different sides of their personality to the outside world and redefine them on every journey," commented Stella Clarke, Project Head of BMW iX Flow featuring E Ink.
