Ten Customisable Transformations, Electric Brands’ Literal All-Rounder, The eBussy

Ever seen a modular electric vehicle that can change into several forms, well, a German-based company, Electric Brands, has rolled one out. Behold, the eBussy.

Based on the ‘Lego Principle’, it uses a series of attachments to support 10 customisable configurations. E.g., a passenger van, panel van, dump truck, pick-up truck and even a camper.

Innovatively, the eBussy electric microbus’ build comes with two different chassis arrangements, a standard and an off-road.

The choice of 10 body styles combines different types of cabins, ranging from a stand-alone or bench seating, single cab or crew cab, optional trunks and the camper style layout.

For the latter, it has accommodations that feature things like a refrigerator, seating area that can convert into a bed, television, freshwater tank, sink and so on.

Then, another unique feature is its steering wheel that can shift locations across the dashboard, from left to right, courtesy of its 'drive by wire' system.

Elsewhere, aesthetically the eBussy parades a retro-esque exterior outlook, funkily resembling a style from the swinging ‘60s.

Being a microbus, it stands at just over 3,657 mm long, 1,645 mm wide and 1,889 mm tall. It weighs between 450 kg to 600 kg, but can support more than its kerb weight, 1,000 kg.

Performance-wise, it’s powered by eight removable lithium-ion battery packs, while also featuring roof-mounted solar panels for recharging on the go.

Said battery packs provide 10 kWh of output and 200 km (124 miles) of range, but can be upgraded to a 24-pack, which generates 30 kWh and 600 km (373 miles).

To further the driving range, it also features a regenerative braking system. In terms of the top speed, it caps at 90 km/h (56 mph) and pushes with a torque of 1,001 Nm.

Offered in Europe, this e-microbus tags at EUR 17,302 (RM 85,054) for the base model and climbs up to EUR 31,516 (RM 146,807) for the top model, the off-road camper.

That said, due to its customisable nature, the eBussy is definitely something worth investing in, as many of the vehicles nowadays are used for different purposes.
