Unveiling Of A Pre-Production Prototype, Noble’s M500 At The Goodwood Festival Of Speed

Keeping to a promise made, British-based supercar company, Noble, will be unveiling its M500 concept’s pre-production prototype at this year’s Festival of Speed.

Being a pre-production prototype, it first has to go through final testing, certification and registration processes before the first client units are built.

As such, the company’s approximation of the M500’s development will be completed by late 2022, with possible deliveries starting soon after that.

Although it hasn’t been officially announced, the M500 is said to ride with a cheaper price tag compared to its predecessor, the M600.

Currently, the details are sparse, as its full specifications will only be publicized closer to the market launch. Though, there is a little glimpse of what it has to offer.

Suggestively, serving as the replacement for Noble's M600 supercar, the M500 will be employing the same architecture.

It will feature a tubular steel chassis, but will swap out the M600’s carbon-fibre body for less expensive compounds.

Then, instead of the M600’s 650 hp twin-turbocharged V8 powerplant, the M500 will be fitted with a V6 that produces up to 550 hp.

Notably, it is a tuned derivative of the twin-turbocharged 3.5 litre V6, akin to the ones in multiple Ford models. For instance, the F-150 Raptor.

Besides that, the M500 will only be offered with a six-speed manual transmission, unlike its concept that featured a dual-clutch automatic.

That said, all M500 production will be at Noble’s factory in Leicester, U.K., and the 2022 Goodwood Festival of Speed starts from June 23 to 26.
