A 730 HP Track-Only Maserati, The Project24 Hypercar
![]()
Taking a road build to the track and everything it has learned from its MC20 sports car, Maserati presents the Project24.
This non-road-homologated, track-only experiential machine is limited to just 62 units and will offer an experience akin to other track specials from brands such as Ferrari and Porsche.
Under the hood, it features the MC20’S Ferrari-built Nettuno twin-turbocharged 90-degree V6 that has been juiced up to produce 544-kW/730 HP, up by 81-kW/109 HP.
The extra power is courtesy of the revised twin-turbos, and the gearbox has also been changed from the MC20’s eight-speed dual-clutch transmission to a six-speed sequential racing gearbox.
Other upgrades include a retuned double-wishbone suspension, adjustable dampers, anti-roll bars, Brembo carbon ceramic ventilated brakes, racing callipers and a unique brake cooling system.

Designed by Centro Stile Maserati, the bodywork has been completely revamped despite sharing the MC20’s underpinnings. The glasshouse shape is the only carryover part.
Swapped in place of the MC20’s front clip are slim LED headlights and adjustable front splitter, while a large vent across the bonnet helps with airflow.
Flipping to the rear, it features a very sleek-looking adjustable rear spoiler, which is used to fine-tune aerodynamics on the track.
Then, besides the MC20’s carbon-fibre monocoque chassis, the body panels are made from carbon fibre and specific natural fibre components, resulting in an ultra-light design at under 1,250 kg.
Due to that, it sports a power-to-weight ratio of approximately 435-kW/tonne, compared to the MC20’s 1,500 kg mass and 315-kW/tonne power-to-weight ratio.

What’s more, it also has unique windows made from high-impact transparent plastic, and a slicked back cabin featuring an FIA-homologated roll cage and carbon-fibre multi-function steering wheel.
Speaking of which, inside, the motorsport theme ensues with six-point harness race seats, paddle-shifters, data acquisition system, adjustable pedal box, adjustable racing ABS and traction control.
Meanwhile, a passenger seat, rear-view camera, in-car camera, telemetry recording, tire pressure monitoring and a ‘driving performance optimisation display’ are optional features.
Full details of the Maserati Project24 are yet to come, but future owners can expect to be treated to expert track experiences and have Maserati at their disposal for on-track support.
That said, upon its full reveal, this track screamer would definitely cost higher than the outgoing MC20, which has a price range that tags at USD 250,000 (RM 1,113,750) for the top-of-the-line model.
