From Key Fobs to Smart Key Card, Tesla New enhancement?

Top EV automaker Tesla declared that its famous electric vehicles, Model S and X currently offering key card replacing the previous key fobs which comes as a standard inclusion upon purchase. 

Previously when Tesla is still providing key fobs, the company decided to cut cost by putting it off the package especially during Model 3 first debut in 2017 which comes cheaper to buyers. 

The new key card allows its EV owners to use their smartphones via its mobile app that is likely to be more user-friendly especially for Model 3, Model Y, and Model S. 

According to its website, key cards are convenient for when your phone is not accessible, out of battery or if someone else needs temporary access, such as a valet.

Despite of the new key entry, apparently buyer still can have one that costs around RM776.00 ($175) from the Tesla Online Store. 

On top of that, the new adaptation of Tesla Key Card applies to new deliveries after July 1, 2022.
