Lamborghini’s Merger Of Performance And Beauty, The Huracan Tecnica, Revs Up The Malaysian Shores

The House of Sant'Agata Bolognese's last V10 Raging Bull, the Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica, has revved its way to the Malaysian shores.
Officially launched today at Sentul Depot, Kuala Lumpur, the Huracan Tecnica tags with an on-the-road price of RM 1.05 million before options, duties and taxes.

Developed for the track and road, the Tecnica merges some of the best elements of the Huracan STO, but packaged in its own distinctive manner.
Most noticeably, the Tecnica’s exterior distinct itself from other Huracan models with its front end that has a new bumper.

It features the Terzo Millennio’s black Ypsilon design, incorporating an air curtain paired with a front splitter that has open slats to direct air though the wheels for downforce and cooling.
Flipping to the rear end, a new engine bonnet can be seen made from lightweight carbon-fibre, which is accompanied by a vertical rear glass window for visibility.

Plus, the rear bumper also gets revamped to match the layout, while brandishing a different diffuser design and hexagonal exhaust pipes.
These changes result in the Tecnica being 61 mm longer than the Huracan Evo, and a silhouette that recalls the Essenza SCV12.

Whereas, a minimalist styled rear wing that perfects the rear layout aids with 35 percent more rear downforce compared to the Huracan EVO RWD, while also reducing drag by 20 percent.
Completing its exterior are the 20-inch Damiso hexagonal-themed wheels, inspired by the Lamborghini Vision GT made for the Vision Gran Turismo project.

Said setup is wrapped with Bridgestone Potenza Sport rubbers (245/30 front and 305/30 rear), which provide a good view of the carbon-ceramic brakes.
Inside, most of the familiar Huracan comfort features are kept such as a touchscreen infotainment system with plenty of connectivity and phone pairing functions, and height-adjustable sports seats.

Lamborghini also offers the STO’s lightweight full-carbon doors, along with other things like titanium wheel bolts and harness seat belts as an added option.
Now comes the best part. This Raging Bull harbours the same 5.2 litre naturally-aspirated V10 heart as the STO. Producing 630 hp/470 kW at 8,000 rpm and 565 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm.

Drive is sent exclusively to the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, allowing for a 0 to 100 km/h dash in just 3.2 seconds.
Weighing in at 1,379 kg, the Tecnica with its less aggressive aerodynamic package maxes out at 325 km/h top speed, higher than the STO’s 310 km/h.

Akin to the STO, the LDVI (Lamborghini Dinamica Veicolo Integrata) system is also adopted, communicating with the Tecnica’s systems to control every facet of its dynamic behaviour.
This includes the rear-wheel steering (RWS), suspension, torque vectoring and Performance Traction Control System (P-TCS), which affect different handlings based on the selected drive modes.

In default STRADA mode, the engine, transmission, and RWS offer comfier driving controls, while SPORT mode sharpens the gear shifts and enhances the rear-wheel steering’s oversteer.
Then, in full attack CORSA mode, the engine and gearbox deliver track-oriented throttle responses and lightning-fast gear changes, while the torque vectoring and P-TCS prioritizes maximum grip.

All in all, the Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica screams with a sharper engine sound at higher revs, and adorns an elegant yet menacingly predatory overall demeanour.
