Hertz Malaysia Extends BMW iX Premium EV Rental Promo For Hari Raya Aidilfitri

Earlier this year, Hertz Malaysia (SDRAC) and Auto Bavaria teamed up to devise an attractive premium EV rental scheme featuring the BMW iX.
Earlier this year, Hertz Malaysia (Sime Darby Rent-A-Car – SDRAC) teamed up with Sime Darby Auto Bavaria (Auto Bavaria) and devised a rather attractive premium EV rental scheme featuring the BMW iX.
Through an initial promotion, said premium EV crossover was available for rent from as low as RM550 daily or RM5,500 monthly. Now, both firms have elected to extend the same promotional rental rates for the BMW iX in light of the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations that starts this week from April 10. This extended promotion is set to last until 31 May, 2024.

Now, it appears Hertz Malaysia (SDRAC) has extended said BMW iX rental scheme in light of the Hari Raya Aidilfitri holidays. The promotional offer sees customers able to rent the BMW iX from as low as RM550 daily.

We've recently test-driven the BMW iX ourselves and experienced both its brilliantly electrified drive dynamics and on board luxuries. You can read about that by clicking these blue words...
“This timely promotion with SDAB presents a unique opportunity for customers to experience the joy of electric driving,” says Harun Mohd Joned, SDRAC’s MD. “We are pleased to continue our collaboration with Hertz Malaysia so that more Malaysians can experience the luxurious drive of BMW’s electric vehicle,” adds Vi Thim Juan, Auto Bavaria’s MD.
Harun adds that the same balik kampung promotion also enables customers to access SDRAC’s other premium services. The latter includes chauffeured rides and airport transfers, both promising “a truly luxurious experience,” adds Harun.

Keen prospects can visit hertzmalaysia.com to garner more details about this promotion, or to secure their reservations.
Like before, keen prospects can acquire more details and reserve the BMW iX from this collaboration by visiting participating Hertz Malaysia (SDRAC) outlets in the Klang Valley, Penang, and Johor Bahru. Alternatively, the same can be done online at www.hertzmalaysia.com/en/.
SDRAC’s extension of this special rental scheme perhaps comes at a timely moment. According to a recent report by local daily Harian Metro, local car rental firms are experiencing a boom in premium and luxury vehicles ahead of the impeding Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations.

Reports have surfaced locally that demand for high-end luxury vehicles - including sportscars pictured above - have surged ahead of the Hari Raya Aidilfitri holidays. Some are willing to pay up to RM5,000 daily to rent one.
One enterprising local car rental business operator was quoted by the daily in saying he has customers willing to shell out anywhere between RM100 to RM5,000 daily to rent such vehicles, depending on what they can afford. Amongst the most popular choice here is the Toyota Alphard and Vellfire luxury MPVs.
The same operator even notes an increase of customers demanding to rent high-end luxury sportscars and supercars too, all in the name of style and image. These customers instead are willing to spend anywhere between RM1,500 to RM5,000 daily to rent things like a Ford Mustang, Porsche 911, Lamborghini Huracan, or even a Mercedes-AMG G63.
Whilst said operator quoted by Harian Metro did not mention any demand for luxury EVs, perhaps this particular niche market is already being served by the likes of Hertz Malaysia through special deals like the BMW iX rental scheme detailed above.
