Commemorating the 10th anniversary of its top-selling urban sedan, Nissan Thailand launches the latest version of its Almera, the Nissan Almera Sportech-X.

It preserves the Almera's DNA of advanced technology, spaciousness, comfort and convenience, while raising the bar with premium features that heighten the performance and sporty spirit.

Nissan Thailand’s president, Isao Sekiguchi, remarked, "For a full decade, Nissan Almera has been the top-selling model in its segment. Since its debut 10 years ago, more than 240,000 units have been sold. The success of this dynamic urban sedan is credited to its ability to address every lifestyle while emotionally fulfilling urban consumers' discerning taste and demand for spaciousness, comfort and convenience. In this new version, we have lifted drivers' experience with this distinctive Nissan Almera Sportech-X to a new level."

To start with, the new Almera Sportech-X now has a gloss black grille, sportier 16-inch alloy wheels, chrome exhaust, Sportech-X logo side sticker, and Sportech-X logo at the B-pillar and rear trunk.

Colour-wise, it comes in a two-toned hue, Storm White body with gloss black roof, gloss black A-, B- and C-pillars, gloss black side mirrors and a gloss black spoiler.

Then, the sporty and premium appeal continues inside via ‘Quole Modure’ premium black seats detailed with burgundy stitches, along with chic ambient lighting enveloping the entire cabin.

Just like the exterior, the interior also features Sportech-X logos, for example, on the front seats, shift knob base, kicking plate, floor mats and sport paddles.

As for the infotainment system, its eight-inch touchscreen display gets the upgraded ‘Nissan Connect’ that supports both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Other connectivity systems are Bluetooth, USB, AUX-IN and intelligent voice command system (Voice Recognition).

In terms of performance, its 1.0-liter turbo HRA0 powertrain combines excellent power with outstanding fuel efficiency.

With the powerful and quick acceleration from the mill's turbo flat torque character, it delivers a maximum power of 100-HP and a maximum torque of 152 Nm.

Said setup is married to an XTRONIC CVT with D-Step Logic transmission that provides smooth gear shifts along with instantaneous acceleration.

Safety-wise, it features a full suite of Nissan's 360-degree SAFETY SHIELD technologies, as well as a standard safety system with six airbags (front, side and curtain side) for the V models and above.

The former consists of Intelligent Forward Collision Warning (IFCW), Intelligent Emergency Braking (IEB), Blind Spot Warning (BSW), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), Intelligent Around View Monitor (IAVM) and Moving Object Detection (MOD) with four cameras at the front, rear and sides of the car.

All in all, the new Nissan Almera Sportech-X is available in a limited number of only 300 units at a price of THB 695,000 (MYR 87,306).

That price tag comes with a 3-year or 100,000 km warranty, whichever comes first, and a 3-year 24-hour roadside assistance service.
