Chery Tiggo 7 Pro, Tiggo 8 Pro Open For Booking In Indonesia With 10 Years Warranty
Chinese automaker Chery took centre stage recently at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Show (GIIAS) 2022 recently where it officially launched the Tiggo 7 Pro and Tiggo 8 Pro models for the Indonesian market.
In said republic, both models are now open for bookings, and offered with a 6-year or 150,000 KM warranty plus a class leading 10 years or 1,000,000 KM engine warranty.
The range-topping Tiggo 8 Pro 7-seat SUV adopts the brand’s 'Life in Motion 3.0' design ethos, which is evident through traits like its geometric matrix diamond grille and distinctive LED headlamps.
On board, the Tiggo 8 Pro is brimmed with a Sony 8-speaker surround sound audio unit, multi-colour ambient lighting, panoramic sunroof, as well as two-tone black and brown upholstery. Also present are three screens consisting of a 12.3-inch instrument panel, an 8-inch climate control screen and an 8-inch infotainment screen.
On the safety front, the Tiggo 8 Pro sports no less than 12 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) functions present. This includes Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Forward Collision Warning (FCW) and a 360-degree camera to aid visibility just to name a few.
Powering the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro is Chery’s third-gen ACTECO series 1.6 TGDI mill rated at 194 HP and 290 NM. This is mated with a 7 speed dual-clutch transmission developed by Chery that boasts a 96% transmission efficiency rate, thus promising smooth and effortless shifts with direct power delivery.
Over to the Tiggo 7 Pro, this compact sibling to the Tiggo 8 Pro sports an edgier interpretation of the Chery’s geometric matrix diamond grille, flanked by sharp intelligent matrix LED headlamps.
On board,the Tiggo 7 Pro sports also offers three screens – a 7 inch LCD instrument panel, 10.25 inch central control screen and an 8 inch climate control screen. There are also comfort features present such as a powered tailgate, wireless charging pad, as well as voice command to name a few.
Additionally, all variants offer leather seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, six airbags, as well as a Bosch-sourced electronic stability system. All variants also feature a full swing of ADAS functions that includes lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control and autonomous emergency braking.
The Tiggo 7 Pro suspension layout adopts an independent MacPherson strut front and multi-link rear system which is said provides users a good balance of combined driving pleasure and comfort. All variants will be fitted with leather seats, dual-zone auto climate control, six airbags and Bosch electronic stability system. Further more all variants will also feature over 10 ADAS functions comprising of lane keeping, adaptive cruise control and emergency braking just to name a few.
As for the Malaysian market, Chery stated it will offer 3 models very soon – the Tiggo 8 Pro and Tiggo 7 Pro, as well as the much hyped OMODA 5. As reported, Chery is in the midst of discussing with local partners towards establishing its local assembly (CKD) operations in Malaysia, as well as towards its brand renewal and network re-establishment nationwide.
