This initiative is to ease users finding parking spaces, while also reducing traffic congestion, double parking issues, and the monopoly of parking spots in commercial areas that often occur.

Initial phase of the two-hour parking system will be implemented on six main roads. Namely, Jalan USJ 10, Jalan SS12, Jalan SS15, Jalan USJ 21, Jalan Bandar Puteri and Jalan Kenari.
Over time, more of the two-hour parking spaces will be added, depending on the suitability of the location. Parking spaces for people with disabilities (OKU) are exempted from this new system.
Currently, there are 2,106 two-hour parking spaces available, out of a total of 45,000 parking spaces around the commercial area.

Areas for the two-hour parking system were chosen by MBSJ based on several factors, notably main roads with high traffic routes.
For example, areas with banking facilities, treatment centres, post offices, government offices and various other facilities that are the focus of the public.

In terms of the rates, users are allowed to use the two-hour parking spaces with a charge of only MYR 0.50 for the first half hour.
To facilitate payment, users can make transactions via mobile parking payment apps like the Smart Selangor Parking, Flexi Parking, JomParking, or also via e-wallets, such as Boost and Touch n Go.
That being said, MBSJ will conduct periodic monitoring to ensure that the public complies with the newly set regulations.
