Perodua Donates Five Myvi to PDRM Hulu Selangor, Total Cost RM400K Including Maintenance Cost

Perusahaan Otomobil Kedua Sendirian Berhad (Perodua) has handed over five units of Myvi to the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) Hulu Selangor to be used as patrol cars around the Hulu Selangor area.
The 1.5-liter engine Perodua Myvi will be used at the Hulu Selangor transportation branch and Gombak District Headquarters, where the police officers will be outfitted with radios and strobe lights.
Also, these Myvis will be handed over to the district headquarters of Serendah, Rasa and Ulu Yam Bahru, Gombak including the Hulu Selangor transport branch.
"This vehicle is used for patrol purposes to prevent crime in the Hulu Selangor area," he said.
Perodua chairman, Tan Sri Asmat Kamaludin said the Myvi police patrol vehicle is part of Perodua's corporate social responsibility (CSR).



Meanwhile, Selangor Police Chief, Datuk Arjunaidi Mohamed mentioned that his side was honoured by the donation of five Myvi cars from Perodua.
"These five Myvi will be used for patrol purposes and maintenance cost will be free for two years," he said when speaking at the handover ceremony of the Perodua car to the Hulu Selangor PDRM.
According to our BM writer, these five Myvi units pays around RM400,000 including maintenance fees for two years.
The model given is the version that was launched last year and the highest variant of the AV which uses a 1.5-liter engine with 102hp and a maximum torque of 136Nm along an automatic 4-speed gearbox transmission.
On top of that, the model is painted in a silver body colour and blue, yellow with green stickers on the sides of the body in addition to Perodua logo stickers placed on the front, sides and back.
