The Shell Collectible That BMW Fans Would Love To Own

Most Malaysians by now would have already heard of or even bought into the latest craze from SHELL Malaysia, its Special Edition Motorsport Remote Control (RC) Collection which was offered starting 8th October.

From what we observed the demand has even spilled over from the petrol kiosks up to their roadshows which are currently running till 23rd October at KL Sentral. Fans of these highly sought after collectibles are sweeping it up even on the resale market at a premium.

There are seven vehicle models made available and the dates are, Ferrari SF90 F1 (8 Oct to 8 Dec 2022), BMW M4 Motorsport (8 Oct to 14 Oct 2022), Nissan Formula E Gen 2 (15 Oct to 21 Oct 2022), Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC (22 Oct to 28 Oct 2022), Australian Supercars Shell V-Power Racing Team Ford Mustang GT (29 Oct to 4 Nov 2022), Team Penske Indycar (5 Nov to 11 Nov 2022) and NASCAR Team Penske Ford Mustang GT (12 Nov to 18 Nov 2022)

These Bluetooth RC cars are powered by a Smart Battery which has an integrated Bluetooth chip within a rechargeable lithium cell which enables you to control the RC via a mobile app.

Now, not that we are complaining, but we would have also loved to get the RC cars offered by SHELL in our neighbouring country Brunei. Their offerings are focused more towards the BMW heritage and we all know Malaysian BMW fans are a class above the rest.

Models offered in Brunei are BMW M4 GT3, BMW Z4 GT3, BMW M5 Safety Car (our favorite), BMW M1, BMW 3.0 CSL and the every classic BMW E30 M3. Just typing this out got us excited.

The purchasing procedure for this in Brunei is slightly different, where you would need to collect 4 stamps on your loyalty card (RM66 worth in total) to be entitled to purchase the RC models at B$9.90 (RM33). However, you can outright buy the bluetooth battery at the same price without any fuel purchase.

Come on SHELL Malaysia, maybe this can be your next offerings to the SHELL and BMW fans alike locally.
