New Honda ZR-V SUV In Japan, Launching April 2023

Eyeing the compact SUV segment and slated in April 2023, Honda’s launching of its all-new ZR-V for the Japanese market.
According to Honda, the ZR-V merges practicality and reliability with solid design characteristics, and excellent driver and passenger comfort.
It has a lowered body, sedan centric driving position and handling experience, and will be offered with two powertrain setups.


The latter will be in a choice of petrol engine and plug-in hybrid variants, with either a front-wheel drive (FWD) or four-wheel drive (4WD) system.
For the petrol setup, it will be powered by Honda’s 1.5-litre VTEC turbocharged engine that produces 180 Hp and 220 Nm of torque.
Whereas, the hybrid will get a 2.0-litre direct injection Atkinson cycle (i-MMD) engine, with a total output of 181 Hp and 315 Nm of torque.

Plus, it will also feature a comprehensive suite of on-board driver assist and safety systems, which consist of the following.
Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), Collision Mitigation Throttle Control, Rear Collision Mitigation Throttle Control, and Low Speed Brake Function (Low speed CMBS).
Pedestrian Collision Mitigation Steering System, Road Departure Mitigation (RDM) System, Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Low-Speed Follow, and Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS).
Traffic Jam Assist, Lead Car Departure Alert, Traffic Sign Recognition, Adaptive and Auto High Beam Headlights, Blind Spot System, Parking Sensors, Backing Out Support, and Hill Descent Control.

All in all, prices in Japan will start at JPY 3,000,000 (MYR 96,654) for the entry-level 2WD petrol model, and at JPY 4,120,000 (MYR 132,709) for the top 4WD hybrid.
