Puspakom Reminds Truckers To Check Their Lights

Road safety is all about keeping people safe, keeping the vehicle safe and keeping the load safe. One of the most effective methods to improve safety is to be more visible on the road. A well-lit truck is more than just a moving light show for other vehicles on the road. Proper car lighting notifies other drivers to your presence and serves as a visual cue to keep them aware - for both their and your safety.
Puspakom, in its latest Facebook entry, reminds all truckers to abide by light regulations set by the authority to avoid crashes involving heavy vehicles.
Truckers must ensure that their vehicle's rear lights and all of the required lighting on trucks must be installed and properly functioning at all times. Make sure they are bright and correctly mounted or fixed so that they do not slant.
Brake lights must work when the brake pedal is pressed. Hazard and signal markers must blink when triggered.
Headlights should be functional, clear from cloudiness and always remain in their correct position. No modification should be made from the original specification (HID / STROBE Light and others).
Side marker lights should be mounted at the sides and as far front or back as possible. Front side marker lights should be white. Rear side marker lights should be red.
The stop lamps are one of the most significant lighting safety components of a commercial truck. They warn other drivers when a vehicle brakes. They should be red and as far apart as feasible mounted symmetrically.
Meanwhile, reverse lights should be mounted at the rear of the vehicle and be white.
Visibility is an important aspect of safety. Ensuring that your truck satisfies the appropriate lighting rules protects not just the truck's driver, but also other motorists in the proximity of the truck.
Examine your lights for flaws and warning signals of failure. Replace them before they stop working. It is the responsibility of all drivers to ensure all lights are functioning properly.
