Refreshed Mazda CX-3 headlines Bauto display at MME 2022

Bermaz Auto Berhad, better known as Bauto, is participating in the Malaysia Motor Expo 2022 (MME 2022) that’s happening this week. The firm’s showcase here will feature a number of vehicles from all three of its core brands, those being Mazda, Kia, and Peugeot.

Leading Bauto’s showcase at MME 2022 though is the new ‘1.5L Core’ variant of the Mazda CX-3 compact crossover model. Introduced last month, this new entry level offering features a mild exterior refresh and Mazda’s signature 1.5-litre Skyactiv 4-cyl powertrain that serves up 114 HP and 149 NM.
Unlike the range-topping CX-3 2.0L High variant, this new base variant – as well as the mid-spec 2.0L Core slotted in between – shares plenty of common features with said range-topper, albeit sans the array of advanced driver assistances (ADAS) and several premium functions.
With its appearance at MME 2022, keen prospects can opt to size this compact crossover up for themselves, which commands a base retail price tag of RM107,870 sans insurance costs.

Apart from the new base CX-3, Bauto’s showcase at MME 2022 will also feature two groundbreaking all-electric models on display too – the Mazda CX-30 and Kia EV6 GT. Joining both EVs here as well as the Peugeot 2008 and 3008 crossover SUV duo too.
Taking place at the KL Convention Centre, Kuala Lumpur, the Malaysia Motor Expo 2022 (MME 2022) organised by MARii runs from Nov 11, 12 and 13 from 10AM to 10PM. Entry tickets are available at RM20 per adult. More details about this expo are available online via its official site, MalaysiaMotorExpo.com.
