Dirigo Events, the organisers of the annual Kuala Lumpur Standard Chartered Marathon (KLSCM) 2022 has just made an announcement with regards to the complimentary LRT shuttle it promised all participants.
As everyone should be aware by now, the Kelana Jaya to Ampang Park LRT line has been shut till 15 November to fix the faulty Automatic Train Control (ATC) system.
So as an alternative Prasarana and Dirigo Events would be arranging alternative complimentary shuttle options to all participants participating in the event which would take place this weekend 12 and 13 November.
Participants from different directions would have two route options based on their location.
Route 1 - Participants are required to take a bus from LRT Ara Damansara to the MRT Phileo Damansara, where you can continue your journey to Dataran Merdeka on the Kajang MRT line and get down at Pasar Seni.
Route 2 - Participants would take a bus from the LRT Gombak station to LRT Maluri. From there they can resume their journey on the Ampang LRT line and alight at Masjid Jamek.
All participants who reside around KLCC could walk to the nearest Monorail station to board the train to Dataran Merdeka. All participants are required to get off at the Pasar Seni MRT and walk to Dataran Merdeka.
Participants from Route 1 will be ferried in double-deck buses with a standing capacity of 115 pax while those from Route 2 will be using the single deck buses with a standing capacity of 53 pax. The interval for these shuttle services would be within 15-minutes.
The complimentary shuttle services would begin from 4:30 am to 6:00 am on 12 November (Saturday) and 1:30 am to 6:00 am on 13 November (Sunday).
Should anyone require more details on the road closures and their respective timings, Dirigo Events has provided the below links.
