The Next-Gen SDAC-Ford XL Single Cab
Sime Darby Auto ConneXion (SDAC) announces a 2.0-liter XL 4x4 Single Cab Manual model of the next-generation Ranger has been added, giving Malaysians a durable, dependable, and trusted work partner.
Exterior part of the new Ranger XL Single Cab is quite straightforward. The model sports halogen headlamps, rear fog lamps, a front recovery hook, daytime running lights (DRLs), and an LED stop lamp mounted on the tailgate. On top of a body-colour front bumper, there’s also a black front grille which comes as standard and a black back bumper.

Under the hood, the pickup truck rides on 16-inch wheels which consists of a new 6-speed manual transmission capable of transmitting 168 hp at 3,500 rpm and a peak torque of 405 Nm at 1,750–2,500 rpm.
The new XL Single Cab, like the rest of the next-generation Ranger lineup, gains from the 50mm track and wheelbase expansion, which improves on- and off-road stability and widens the front approach and rear departure angles.
More significantly, the new Ranger XL Single Cab delivers the market's largest single cargo bed thanks to its improved dimensions. With dimensions of 2,332 mm in length, 1,420 mm in width, and 540 mm in height, customers may load bulkier products flat, such as a sheet of plywood for construction or a full-size pallet and transport more freight. At 230 mm, ground clearance is also greater.

On sturdy steel tube rails, there are also six cargo tie-down hooks that offer practical positions for fastening cargoes. The tailgate may also function as a mobile workbench with an integrated ruler and clamp pockets to measure, grip, and cut building supplies for greater adaptability at off-site job sites.
Infotainment wise, the new Ranger XL Single Cab is equipped with a wide 10.1-inch touchscreen and Ford Ford's voice-activated SYNC 4A communications. More than that, there’s also Wireless Apple CarPlayTM and Android AutoTM.

Safety aspects consist of two Airbags, an Anti-Lock Braking System with Electronic Brake-Force Distribution, Electronic Stability Control with Traction Control, Hill Descent Control, Hill Launch Assist, Rollover Mitigation, and Trailer Sway Control.
According to Managing Director of Sime Darby Auto ConneXion-Ford, Turse Zuhair stated that while customers would prefer the Ranger for lifestyle reasons, XL Single Cab has been put up as a basic entry level 4x4 which also can get the job done and done well.

There are few body hues offered for the new Ranger XL Single Cab - Absolute Black, Aluminium Metallic, Arctic White and Meteor Grey for its body hues.
Meanwhile, in terms of price tag, Ford Ranger XL Single Cab costs RM98,888 (on-the-road, without insurance and road tax) for Peninsular Malaysia and RM104,388 for East Malaysia, respectively.
The manufacturer's warranty for the Next-generation Ranger XL Single Cab is for five years or 160,000 miles, whichever comes first.
As an option, customers can also select an extended warranty of up to seven years or choose an extended service plan, which allows them to pay in advance for scheduled services that are up to five years.
Hence, cost savings are a major advantage as customers get to lock in the existing price despite rising prices and incorporate the payments into their loan.
