A white and sleek Hyundai Palisade was recently seen being driven on the grounds of the Istana Negara at Gate 2 by Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah before the royals disembarked and courted the media present.
The All-New Versatile Hyundai Palisade was unveiled by Hyundai-Sime Darby Motor Sdn Bhd (HSDM) last year. In terms of pricing, it has been set at RM 328,888 and will be available in four variants namely EXEC 7 and EXEC 8 for diesel engines, and LUXE 7 and LUXE 8 for petrol engines.
Exterior wise, both the V6 and turbo diesel models have the same features on the outside. The Palisade has MacPherson struts in the front and multi-link suspension in the back. Also, the luxury Palisade is equipped with LED head and tail lights, LED daytime running lights, hands-free powered tailgate, and puddle lamps.
There are three colour schemes for the seat materials offering red, black, and white. At the first glance, it seems like our YDPA prefers black as his cabin layout according to the picture.
Moving on, the 7- or 8-seater MPV comes with a seven-inch TFT multi-info display, eight-inch infotainment display, head up display, a dual sunroof, seven USB ports, wireless charging, and 3-zone air conditioning. On top of that, the driver's seat has 12 adjustment options, while the front passenger seat has eight.
Meanwhile, under the hood, the Palisade is available with two engine options offering a naturally aspirated 3.8-litre V6 or a 2.2-litre 4-cylinder turbo diesel engine which rides on 20-inch wheels. The turbo diesel variant even includes additional drive modes such as Mud, Sand, and Snow.
