Prasarana, the concession holder for Rapid line of services posted yesterday all the fixes it was undertaking to the long broken facilities at several of its MRT stations. This comes after the newly appointed Minister of Transport Anthony Loke took it upon himself to conduct a “spot check” last week on the rail services level of comfort and safety of the facilities.
Based on Rapid KL’s social media post, there were five facilities where the first round of facility refurbishment was conducted. First being the escalator handrail repair works at the National Museum to KL Sentral passenger walkway on 14 December.

Rapid KL moving forward would continue to closely engage public complaints and constantly work to upkeep its facilities for the convenience of the users. Anthony Loke in a press statement today told BERNAMA that he is happy at the speed Rapid KL is working in undertaking all the repair works. He further stated that all the public facilities maintenance must be made a culture to ensure these facilities are in good working order.
