Sony Honda Mobility first EV, Broadcasting Live in 14 Days during CES 2023

Following an update from Sony-Honda JV to launch its first EV, a new announcement has been made which speech will be delivered live from the Las Vegas Convention Center on January 4 during Consumer Electronic Show (CES) 2023 early next month.
Before we go further, the first Sony Honda Mobility vehicle will be available for pre-order in the first half of 2025, with sales beginning before the end of that year.
Back to our story, the JV added a teaser trailer portraying the contour of a vehicle's hood, which we all know Honda and Sony are working on a breakthrough electric vehicle jam-packed with high-tech components.

Sony Honda Mobility Inc CEO Yasuhide Mizuno and COO Izumi Kawanishi
That line, in particular, will be based in North America, with internet sales taking precedence in the region and vehicles will be exported to Japan shortly after, although production may commence there as well.
Aside from that, the JV has defined its high value-added EV concept as the 3As for Autonomy, Augmentation, and Affinity which derives on a common principle shared by both Sony and Honda which is to contribute and lead the evolution of mobility.
Following next, the plan consists of transforming mobility space by seamlessly integrating real and virtual worlds other than to explore new digital innovation like metaverse.
Adding on to that, the new EV is expected to include a gaming system to become part of its automobile feature.
Meanwhile, Honda will lend the joint venture its manufacturing skills, as well as engineering and after-sales assistance, areas that have stymied other automotive startups seeking to enter the EV industry and challenge the dealership model.
