GO TO-U Cyberview DC Chargers Offline Barely Days After Launch
-full.jpg)
Barely days after its grand launch, the Cyberview GO TO-U EV Lifestyle Hub’s two DC chargers are offline. This matter was highlighted by a member of the Malaysian Electric Vehicle Owners Club on the group's Facebook page.

On the post, GO TO-U dropped a lengthy comment to clarify by stating, “Creating of such infrastructure projects is a long process and it takes enormous effort and resources to make everything work as it should. Some delays are normal as simply not everything depends on us or on our partners. GO TO-U approach is quality service you simply can’t find in any other places because we created a unique eco system for operators and end users based on “pro active reservation technology “. We are the only one company in the World who offers such functionality to all users of EV over our interface in mobile app. If you have any questions about how we operate, please feel free to ask. We are very open to you as feedback from our users is a foundation for us to become even better.”
However, this reply somehow did not answer the core question on why the chargers were down in the first place after the promise of free 30kW juice till end Jan 2023. By right it would have been better for a representative from Roda Emas Industries Sdn. Bhd. (REISB) the local GO TO-U Platform provider to have responded rather than the principle who are not physically rooted here.

Caricarz, managed to reach out to someone from REISB to get an official response on this matter. According to a REISB representative, the Cyberview, Cyberjaya hub is closed temporarily as they need to do a few more closed tests and also touch up again on the paint work. They also added that getting the facility back up and running is high on the priority list. When asked on the tentative go-live date REISB representative was not able to say, but promised it will be up as soon as possible.
The Cyberview GO TO-U Charging Hub currently houses two (2) Star Charge DC fast charging units, each charging equipped with two CCS2 guns capable of pumping out 60 kW of power. However both these DC chargers had been throttled down to 30 kW till the end of Jan 2023 for the “FREE” charging period.

It would be best for REISB and Cyberview to do good on their promise and extend the free charging period depending on the days the hub is down. Though free charging is not a priority to the EV community who rather just have as many available chargers for pure charging convenience, the gesture will help nevertheless. GO TO-U app is also currently used to power the chargers from Sime Darby Group and TNBX.
