In the first two weeks of this year, NADIPUTRA's ridership nearly doubled as new management took over the company's operations as reported by The Star.

Rapid Bus Sdn Bhd CEO Muhammad Yazurin Sallij mentioned that over 16,000 passengers have already been served at an average rate of about 900 daily passengers. The latter figure previously stood at 500 passengers daily, having nearly doubled now.

He also added the highest ridership recorded to date was on Jan 10 with 1,484 passengers. Also, the free service Route P101 from Kompleks F to Precinct 5 had the highest ridership thus far.

Apart from that, seven new routes were added to Nadiputra’s service when it first began except for P101 where six of the routes that were previously free now have a RM1 fare.

Some commuters expressed concern that they would have to take two buses compared to one under the previous operator.

On Jan 16, a temporary route, P107, was added to support connectivity from Putrajaya Sentral in Precinct 7 to Precinct 9, Persiaran Perdana and Dataran Gemilang which operates on weekdays only from 6.30am to 8pm.

The CEO said together with Putrajaya Corporation, which is the provider of the Nadiputra service, route and feedback assessment would be done regularly. He also noted that route P107 would be terminated once the MRT Putrajaya Line Phase 2 feeder bus starts operating in March.
